Abstract The Fargo Y.W.C.A. was organized in 1906 and affiliated with the National YWCA in 1907. It activities are documented through a nice series of scrapbooks, as well for the later years in minutes, newsletters and annual reports. Additional accessions have been received of their records but not currently organized.

Zdena Trinka Papers

Abstract North Dakota native and author who escaped the Nazi invasion of Czechoslovakia while on an official visit. The Zdena Trinka Papers consist of biographical material, a letter to Russell Reid of the State Historical Society of North Dakota critical of his involvement in the NBC television movie on the Marquis de Mores and her book Medora. There is a 470-page typed draft of an unpublished work entitled "Colorful Czechoslovakia." It is a descriptive work on the history, towns, country and life...

Zona McArthur Papers

Abstract Personal and family papers of Zona McArthur who spent her adult life as a shorthand reporter and legal secretary under Judge Ronald N. Davies and Judge Paul Benson. She won numerous awards and honors for her work and even served as a court reporter on high profile cases such as the desegregation cases in Little Rock, Arkansas.
